北京市第一五九中学位于西城区北京金融街北端，是一所具有八十年历史的公办完全中学，其前身为香山慈幼院女部，1931年迁到历代帝王庙，著名爱国教育慈善家熊希龄先生、人民教育家陶行知先生和幼儿教育家张雪门先生创建北平幼稚师范学校，后更名为北京市第三女子中学，1972年统编为北京市第一五九中学。
